The City of Burien is now accepting applications for its 2026 Arts and Culture grant program, offering funding to individuals and organizations that enrich the community through creative expression.
The program, overseen by the Burien Arts Commission, aims to support performances, exhibitions, educational opportunities, and cultural events that serve a broad spectrum of local residents, with a focus on accessibility and inclusion.
Grant funding may be used to produce one-time arts or cultural events, develop new artistic work, or offer educational opportunities to youth, seniors, and underserved communities.
Funds can also be used to increase public access by offering free or discounted programs.
These grants – of up to $1,200 – are open to organizations and individuals on a first-come, first-serve basis, and will be reviewed as they are received during 2025.
The Burien Arts Commission will review submitted proposals and make funding recommendations to the Burien City Council, with final decisions expected by the end of 2025.
