Fort Worth’s PianoTexas returns with recitals, concerts

In case you haven’t had your fill of piano performances in the two weeks of the Van Cliburn International Piano Competition, PianoTexas International Festival & Academy at Texas Christian University in Fort Worth is offering more.

A Distinguished Artist Concert Series at TCU’s excellent Van Cliburn Concert Hall will present recitals by two prizewinners from past Cliburn competitions, Aviram Reichert and Jan Jiracek von Arnim. And much-recorded Australian pianist Piers Lane will play the complete Chopin Nocturnes.

Also a summer course for young pianists, teachers and amateurs, with a starry lineup of teachers, the annual festival presents winners of its own concerto competition in performances with the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra.
