Donald Trump has gotten plenty of love from country music stars, but few have supported the president as steadfastly as John Rich has.
And now the Trump-loving singer — one of half of the popular duo Big & Rich — is set to receive a prestigious military honor.
Rich will receive the Bob Hope Award as part of the 2025 Medal of Honor Celebration which take place Sept. 30 through Oct. 4 in Chattanooga, Tennessee, according to Parade.
“As a country music artist, songwriter and entrepreneur, John Rich has long been a vocal supporter of the military,” a press release on the event read per Parade. “Through his Redneck Riviera brand and charitable work, he promotes patriotism and supports veteran-focused causes across the country. To date, he has raised nearly $2 million to support veterans’ causes, including VFW’s Return the Favor campaign and Folds of Honor.”
Parade said the Bob Hope Award is given annually to a person who “through their life’s work in the entertainment industry has distinguished themselves by outstanding service to a positive portrayal of the United States Military in literature or film.”
