An Old Flame
FUBAR is Arnold Schwarzenegger’s first leading role on a live action television series. He plays a CIA operative named Luke Brennen who has kept his top secret career from his family. His daughter has followed in his footsteps, and when they discover the truth about each other, they must work together on a case.
In season two, things become complicated for Luke when he crosses paths with a German spy, who also happens to be an ex. Meanwhile, his team must accept the possibility of a rat amongst them.
Season two of FUBAR drops Thursday, June 12, on Netflix.
Returning from the Dead
Revival began as a horror comic series from Tim Seeley and Mike Norton. The Image Comics published book has received a television adaptation.
The story takes place in a rural Wisconsin town where the recently dead have been resurrected maintaining their previous memories and personalities. As the residents process the returns of loved ones, a murder shocks the town and both the living and undead are suspects.
Revival premieres Thursday, June 12, on Syfy. Check out our early review.
An Unlikely Crime Solving Duo
Patience is another adaptation, but its source material is another series from France called Astrid et Raphaëlle. In it, a detective teams up with an archivist named Patience Evans, who happens to be autistic.
The show stars Ella Maisy Purvis and Laura Fraser in the lead roles. It is created by Matt Baket and originally aired in the United Kingdom.
The United States premiere of Patience airs Sunday, June 15, on PBS.
