PETERSBURG, VA — During Petersburg’s Friday for the Arts!, Arte Xchange will host three free concerts and a dance party. The family-friendly music series will take place at Appomattox Iron Works, an outdoor venue in Old Towne Petersburg. Scéalái will kick off the series with traditional Celtic music.

  • June 13: Scéalái — Celtic
  • July 11: Shockoe Zoo — Garage dub
  • July 18: Not Our Destiny — Classic rock
  • July 25: DJ Dion – Dance

“DJ Jay Dion and I are spinning soulful, classic and Latin house music, alternative R&B, and electro re-edits of songs,” Jamil Jasey, founder of Sol Skool Entertainment, shared with the Progress-Index. “On the final Friday in July, expect to dance!”

Appomattox Iron Works is located at 30 W Old St. The entrance is between Buttery Baking House and Penniston’s Alley Antiques and Collectibles.
