As we enter the summer season, it’s prime time for backyard parties.Whether it’s for a graduation, a birthday, July Fourth, or anything else, it’s important to make the celebration extra special. So, we set out to find the most unique New Hampshire-based rental options to get the party started.The setup isn’t easy, but the best part is that you don’t have to do it. These mobile trailers were built to bring the party to you. Tipsy TrailerI wanted to throw the best block party my neighborhood had ever seen. So, we called the Tipsy Trailer first.It’s a vintage mobile bar that Cori and Dan Duys, of Derry, started in 2022.“I always say it’s kind of like a date night for us without any kids,” Cori Duys said, laughing. And while they admit there could be a little bickering during the stressful time before an event, they say as soon as the guests arrive, they hit their groove.“Once we’re behind the bar and it’s go time, we always have a great time,” Dan Duys said. “There’s never been an event when we didn’t pull out of there and high five each other.” Their favorite part about serving up freshly made, perfectly mixed cocktails is the joy they bring with the Tipsy Trailer. “You meet so many cool people and hear so many stories,” Dan Duys said. “People appreciate this a lot and it’s just good meeting good people.”DryveboxSo, we grabbed our drinks and called up a new trailer in town – Dryvebox Portsmouth.“Prior to me, the closest one in New England was Fairfield, Connecticut,” said Dryvebox franchisee Theron Alex. “I’m the first one in northern New England and it’s been very well-received so far.”Dryvebox is a mobile golf simulator that brings your favorite course to your doorstep. Alex said people are surprised when they step into the simulator.“They can’t believe this is a trailer,” he said. “It’s something that everyone enjoys, you know, from 5-year-olds to 75-year-olds, everyone who comes in the box has a great time.”But did he really mean everyone? I don’t enjoy golf much, but it’s a different experience inside Dryvebox. It can be more fast-paced if you’d like, and it’s definitely less stressful. I had a great time, even with a swing-and-a-miss. Ice Cream EmergencyAfter golfing all afternoon, we certainly earned a treat. Thankfully, we called Ice Cream Emergency and Jill Belben rolled up with the coolest ice cream truck we’d ever seen. “It was a career change,” Belben said. “I was in high-pressure sales for about 20 years, and I needed a change that was going to bring me happiness and other people happiness.”She bought an Ice Cream Emergency truck that allows guests to walk into what feels like a classic ice cream parlor on the inside. “Ice cream is really just that universal love language,” Belben said. “You just have to see people’s faces when they walk on, that’s the best part.“Yeah, because you feel like a kid,” said mom Kayla Allard, who was ordering her own ice cream. “You get to experience what all the kids just experienced.”And after a fun-filled day, there was one more perk, mostly for the host. There’s no cleanup. These mobile parties get all packed up and pull away, leaving behind nothing but lasting memories.
