UGA Presents announces 30th anniversary season, featuring Yo-Yo Ma


The University of Georgia Performing Arts Center announced the 2025-26 season of UGA Presents, featuring more than 40 events where audiences can enjoy world-class dance, music and theatre.

The main event of the season is the PAC’s 30th anniversary gala on Feb. 1, 2026, at Hodgson Concert Hall, featuring a performance by cellist Yo-Yo Ma.

Dance and theatre performances include Stage, Screen & Everything In Between by Tony Award-winning actress and singer Lea Salonga on Sept. 11, 2025, at Hodgson Concert Hall. The Paul Taylor Dance Company will perform shortly after, on Sept. 19, 2025, at the Classic Center Theatre. 

The Acting Company will take the stage at the UGA Fine Arts Theatre with productions of Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream and an adaptation of Dickens’ Great Expectations on Jan. 30 and 31, 2026. The Salzburg Marionette Theatre returns to Hodgson Concert Hall on Feb. 26 and 27, 2026, with a production of Rodgers and Hammerstein’s The Sound of Music.

Classical music highlights include three performances by the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra, including Beethoven’s Symphony No. 9, led by Nathalie Stutzmann, on Nov. 14, 2025, at Hodgson Concert Hall. TwoSet Violin is scheduled to perform on Oct. 19, 2025, at Hodgson. Pianist Angela Hewitt, who last performed at Hodgson during its opening gala in April 1996, returns on Oct. 26, 2025.

Jazz events include a performance by singer and MacArthur “Genius Grant” recipient Cécile McLorin Salvant, making her UGA Presents debut on April 17, 2026, at Hodgson. The Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra and trumpeter Wynton Marsalis will return for two concerts on Feb. 14 and 15, 2026 at Hodgson. Brandford Marsalis is also returning to Hodgson with his quartet on Nov. 16, 2026, with a program honoring the music of Keith Jarrett.

Also featured is a miniseries of six concerts titled “Nordic Dream,” highlighting classical, folk and jazz musicians from Denmark, Finland, Norway and Sweden. Included in the series are classical pianist Leif Ove Andsnes, performing Jan. 21, 2026, at Hodgson, and the jazz group Tord Gustavsen Trio, appearing March 27, 2026, at Ramsey Concert Hall.
