As seen during the 2024 WWE Bad Blood PLE, Gunther was involved in a promo segment with WWE Hall of Famer Bill Goldberg. Goldberg later confirmed that he will be having his final match in 2025.
In an update on Goldberg’s status, Viper of Bodyslam.net noted that Goldberg “is reportedly planned to return next week on Monday Night Raw, guessing he will be coming for Gunther, as expected months back.”
After regaining the world heavyweight title from Jey Uso on WWE RAW, Gunther made a reference to Goldberg. Goldberg’s final match is rumored for Saturday Night’s Main Event on July 12th in Atlanta, GA.
