Not going to Oakmont? Here’s the U.S. Open television schedule


Nearly 40,000 spectators are expected to be on the grounds of Oakmont Country Club as the championship rounds of the 125th U.S. Open begin Thursday.

Not going to be one them? No problem. There will be wall-to-wall television coverage of the event, as well as online and streaming options for golf fans.

Starting Thursday, USA will broadcast Round 1 live from 6:30 a.m.-5 p.m.

Peacock will pick up coverage from 5-8 p.m.

There also will be featured groups available to watch on USOpen.com and on the USGA app.

Those include:

• Ludvig Aberg, Adam Scott, Hideki Matsuyama (7:17 a.m. tee time)

• Xander Schauffele, Jose Luis Ballester, Bryson DeChambeau (7:28 a.m.)

• Shane Lowry, Justin Rose, Rory McIlroy (7:39 a.m.)

• Min Woo Lee, Justin Thomas, Brooks Koepka (1:02 p.m.)

• Jordan Spieth, Jon Rahm, Dustin Johnson (1:13 p.m.)

• Viktor Hovland, Collin Morikawa, Scottie Scheffler (1:24 p.m.)

On Friday, second round coverage starts on Peacock from 6:30 a.m.-1 p.m. and then moves to NBC from 1-7 p.m. It will finish on Peacock after 7 p.m.

Saturday’s coverage will be on USA from 10 a.m. to noon and NBC from noon-8 p.m.

Sunday’s final round will begin at 9 a.m. on USA. NBC will take over from noon-7 p.m.

NBC’s coverage will be simulcast on Peacock. USA Network coverage will be simulcast on the NBC Sports App.

In all, NBC Sports will have almost 300 hours of live coverage on NBC, USA Network, Golf Channel and Peacock.
