Kate Middleton Celebrates World Bee Day by Tending to Beehive

On World Bee Day, Kate Middleton, Princess of Wales, was seen caring for a beehive as a new hobby. She looked right at home in a beekeeper’s suit as she checked on a hive on the property of her Norfolk home.

The official family photos of the royal family were taken by Royal photographer Matt Porteous, who took this picture. The Princess can be seen taking honey from the hive by lifting up a part of it.

She was working and could be seen smiling from inside her helmet as she looked down at the wasps still on the board.

The text said, “We are buzzing about World Bee Day. Bees are a vital part of our ecosystem, and today is a great opportunity to raise awareness of the essential role bees, and other pollinators play in keeping people and the planet healthy.”

Beekeeping seems to be a special skill for the queen. It’s also one of her less well-known skills, and she shares it with her brother, James Middleton. She has been seen giving out jars of honey during royal visits more than once.
