Dancing with the Stars is borrowing a page from some of the best dance videos of previous eras when the eight remaining dance teams will compete to songs behind some of music’s most iconic videos.

And who would be more appropriate to join judges Carrie Ann Inaba, Derek Hough and Bruno Tonioli to critique the dancers than singer, dancer, choreographer Paula Abdul, who has to her credit the hit music video “Straight Up,” but also choreographed Janet Jackson‘s “What Have You Done for Me Lately,” “Nasty” and “Control” music videos?
