MEMPHIS, Tenn. – A person is dead after a car crash in Frayser, the Memphis Police Department (MPD) said.

Police said the car crash happened at North Watkins and Frayser Boulevard around 4:57 PM.

The person was pronounced dead at the scene.

Traffic is shut down in both directions, so travelers are asked to use an alternative route.
