‘chalk Out Plan To End Malnutrition’ |


Lucknow: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has directed the officials to chalk out an action plan to completely eradicate malnutrition in the state.
During a high-level meeting, officials of the Child Development Services and Nutrition Department informed Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath that at present, 2.08 crore people including pregnant women, lactating mothers, children of six months to three years, and those of 3-6 years, and adolescent girls of aspirational districts are availing benefits of various nutrition-related projects.
The CM directed officials to formulate an action plan and launch a comprehensive campaign aimed at eradicating malnutrition from the state. He emphasized that a robust mechanism should be established to ensure the success of this campaign.
A spokesperson said the state government has made significant achievements in curtailing malnutrition with active implementation of 897 projects over the past six years, . Benefits are being delivered through 1.89 lakh Anganwadi centres, he said.

Godrej to invest Rs 10 crore over next three years to eradicate vector borne diseases in 3 Maharashtra districts
Godrej Consumer Products Limited (GCPL) has partnered with Centre for Health research and Innovation (CHRI-PATH) and Family Health India (FH India) to support the government of Maharashtra in malaria elimination and dengue and chikungunya prevention. GCPL has pledged Rs 10 crore over the next three years to aid the program in three districts. The program will focus on strengthening surveillance, improving case reporting, and enhancing clinical management of these diseases. The partnership will appoint state-level experts and district-level human resources to work closely with the government.
