Selena Gomez is putting an end to rumors that her new song, “Single Soon,” is about her past relationship with “The Weeknd.”

The artist, who is 31 years old, just released the catchy song along with a music video in which she wore a beautiful pink minidress.

Soon after the song came out, people started to think that it might be a hidden reference to The Weeknd, who Gomez dated for nine months in 2017. At one point, they even lived together.

When it came out that Gomez had said she didn’t like The Weeknd’s show, The Idol, just a few months ago, the rumors got stronger.

But Gomez responded directly to these claims on Instagram by commenting on a post from Hollywood Life.

She made it clear that all the rumors about the meaning of her new song are completely false, putting an end to any questions about where her music comes from.

Gomez then explained what the song was really about, saying, “It’s a playful anthem about being comfortable in your own skin and loving your own company.”

She added to her post, “And it’s also really fun to dance to!” with a pink heart emoji.
