Millie Bobby Brown Acknowledges Dorothea Hurley as She Receives a Prestigious Award

Millie Bobby Brown was surrounded by her fans as she attended the star-studded Glamour Women Of The Year event in New York on Tuesday.

Stranger Things actress Eleven, 19, was accompanied by her fiancé Jake Bongiovi and prospective mother-in-law Dorothea Hurley.

The Damsel actress wore a silk black gown with a silver halter neck accent. Her hair was pulled back into a bun, and she wore hoop earrings. Jake, 21, was dressed in a black suit with a fresh white button-down shirt. The wife of rocker Jon Bon Jovi wore a black tailored suit.

Hurley presented Brown with the award during the event, and the two enjoyed a romantic embrace onstage, which she followed with a moving homage.

“Thank you, Dorothea, for your kind words. It means so much to me that you are here tonight. Your passion to help others with your humanitarian work inspires me, and I hope to be half the woman you are,” Brown added, according to Glamour.

She then went on to thank Hurley for raising “her son, my fiancé, to feel comfortable around strong women. To see women as equals. To be an ally, which is exactly what we need.”

After dating for nearly two years, Brown and Bongiovi announced their engagement in August.
