LeRoy, N.Y. — A woman was killed Thursday morning when her car struck a deer in Genesee County.

Deputies responded to Route 19 in LeRoy just after 7 a.m. for a report of a single-vehicle crash.

Investigators determined Judith Purdy, 58, was northbound when her car hit a deer that entered the roadway from the east shoulder.

Purdy was pronounced dead at the scene.
