After leaving ITV, Phillip Schofield’s replacement as the host of “This Morning” has been revealed. For the awards show, the English singer Jane McDonald will fill in for him.

The event that will take place at The Lowry in Salford on Saturday will be shown on TV on Tuesday. The 60-year-old artist is well-known because she was on the show Cruising With Jane on Channel 5.

She has also been on Loose Women more than once. ITV thinks she is a safe choice because they want the change to go as smoothly as possible. She said this about her new job as a host:

“Oh my god…..everyone knows how much I LOVE my soaps, this year, I’ve been honored to be mentioned in Corrie, EastEnders, and Emmerdale, so this is just a dream come true. I can’t wait to see all our wonderful soap nominees and celebrate all their hard work with them – roll on the awards, I can’t wait!”

ITV said earlier that the award event will go as planned, despite Schofield’s shocking resignation. Schofield quit after he told his wife he had an affair with a younger man while they were still married. He also said he had lied to his family, talent agency, and network.
