The Best of ’Only Murders in the Building’ Gets Submitted into Emmy Consideration

After helping actor Nathan Lane win his first Primetime Emmy and getting a record number of seven nominations for Outstanding Guest Actor, the show Only Murders in the Building wants to put more of its players in the running for Emmys.

According to IndieWire, the hit Hulu show has submitted Nathan Lane, James Caverly, Shirley MacLaine, Tina Fey, Amy Schumer, Jane Lynch, and Da’Vine for Outstanding Guest Actor and Actress in a Comedy Series. This is in addition to the main stars Steve Martin, Martin Short, and Selena Gomez, who are expected to submit for Outstanding Lead Actor and Actress in a Comedy Series.

In the crime satire, three neighbors, Charles-Haden Savage (Steve Martin), Oliver Putnam (Martin Short), and Mabel Mora (Selena Gomez), come together because they all like true crime stories. This happens after a murder happens in the Arconia, a luxurious apartment building on the Upper West Side.

As they use their vast knowledge of real crimes to try to solve the murder, they get caught up in the case. In season 3, everyone’s favorite would-be cops try to figure out who killed Paul Rudd’s character Ben Glenroy.

Only Murders in the Building has been a huge hit, with 17 Emmy nominations for its first season and three wins.
