STRATFORD, CT (WFSB) – A crash and vehicle fire closed a portion of Route 15 northbound in Stratford on Friday morning.

The state Department of Transportation reported that the closure was between exits 52 and 53 on the Merritt Parkway.

The incident was reported just before 7 a.m.

The DOT said the left lane on the southbound side of the highway was also closed.

There’s no word on injuries or a cause.
