The West Chicago Parks Foundation will be hosting a food drive to benefit the Neighborhood Food Pantry from November 1 through November 19. Drop off locations for the drive include the ARC Center at 201 W. National Street and Republic Bank at 105 E Roosevelt Road and 101 Main Street.
Additionally, on Saturday, November 18 and 19 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. donors who visit the ARC Center will be entered to win a prize.
The most needed items at this time include the following items:
- Whole-grain cereal
- Oatmeal
- Whole-grain pasta
- Brown rice
- Pasta sauce
- Healthy choice soups
- Cooking oil
- Corn meal
- Gluten-free items
- Corn-free items
- Canned fruit juice
- Canned vegetables
- Dry whole beans
- Canned chicken
- Canned tuna
- Peanut butter
- Diapers
- Baby wipes
- Toilet paper
- Personal hygiene products
- Dish soap
Donations may be left in collection bins from November 1 through November 18. For each pound of food donated, the West Chicago Parks Foundation will donate $1.00 to Neighborhood Food Pantry, up to $500.
