BLACKPINK member Jennie Kim reportedly has no plans to stay with the girl group amid reports that the group is about to split.
Earlier in July, it was reported that the singer was in the process of forming her own agency while also negotiating a contract termination with the group’s label, YG Entertainment.
After there were no developments on Jennie’s independent agency, supporters assumed she would continue her stint with the company; nonetheless, the 27-year-old vocalist offered the first hints on her future plans.
Following her stunning acting debut in HBO’s The Idol, the singer revealed a new solo single called You & Me.
In an interview with Harper’s Bazaar, she stated that her work will not be associated with BLACKPINK’s image, but would instead express her own unique self as an artist.
“I’m making a song that’s by Jennie, the most Jennie and something unique that is only Jennie’s,” she told the publication in October of this year.
