Tom Ellis is the father of four daughters.

After a lengthy surrogacy, the Lucifer star, 44, posted a selfie of himself and Oppenheimer, 37, gathered over their newborn as she slept on Thursday night on Instagram.

“Our daughter Dolly Ellis-Oppenheimer was born on November 8th,” the proud father captioned their first family portrait, “and within five hours of being alive, she single-handedly ended the SAG strike,” he added a spice of English humour to the announcement.

“We love her. Huge thank you to our amazing surrogate,” he continued, referring to their anonymous surrogate.

Oppenheimer, a screenwriter who has worked on Fear the Walking Dead and Queen America, posted the same message on her Instagram account, along with a photo of Ellis lovingly holding the baby child.

Ellis and Oppenheimer began dating in 2015 and married in a quiet lakeside ceremony in 2019.

Oppenheimer’s first kid and Ellis’ fourth is the birth of their unnamed baby girl.

Before divorcing in 2014, Ellis was married to actress Tamzin Outhwaite, with whom he had two children, Marnie, 11, and Florence, 15. He is also the father of Nora, an 18-year-old daughter from a prior relationship.
