Gorham, N.Y. — A Yates County man is dead after his car overturned and struck an embankment in Ontario County on Friday evening.

At around 5:40 p.m., deputies responded to a motor vehicle accident at the intersection of County Road 17 and County Road 18.

Deputies determined that Stephen M. Erb, 24, Penn Yan, was traveling south on County Road 18 when his vehicle overturned and was ejected from his vehicle.

He suffered severe injuries and was transported to the FF Thompson Hospital in Canandaigua, where he later died.

The other passenger in the car had minor injuries.
