Eminem has used the law to make sure that Vivek Ramaswamy’s campaign music doesn’t include any of his songs, including the hit song “Lose Yourself.”

Pamela Williams, an attorney for BMI, told Eminem that he didn’t want his songs to be used in the campaign.

Williams also told the campaign that the works by Eminem would be taken out of a BMI license deal that the campaign had before.

Williams’ letter to the campaign made it clear that if the Vivek 2024 campaign played any of Eminem’s songs in the future, it would be a “material breach of the Agreement,” and BMI would use all of its rights and options to deal with it.

Ramaswamy is the latest Republican candidate to get letters, legal threats, and complaints from musicians who don’t like it when their songs are used in campaigns.

Ramaswamy’s problem seems to be caused by a blanket deal with BMI, which is a common way to handle a wide range of musical works. The letter was a notice that this deal no longer covered Eminem’s work.
