NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) — The Best of Broadway at the North Charleston Performing Arts Center announced Monday that the North American Tour of “Mean Girls”, the new musical comedy adapted from the 2004 hit movie of the same name, is coming to North Charleston next year.

Tickets will go on sale Monday, Nov. 20 at 10 a.m.

The musical comedy will play at the North Charleston Performing Arts Center April 26 through April 28, with a total of five performances.

The show is based on nine-time Emmy Award winner Tina Fey’s screenplay for the movie, with music by three-time Emmy Award winner Jeff Richmond and lyrics by two-time Tony Award nominee Nell Benjamin.

It is directed and choreographed by two-time Tony Award winner Casey Nicholaw.

Tickets will be available on Ticketmaster’s website, as well as the North Charleston Coliseum Advance Ticket Office.
