WOONSOCKET – New Mayor Chris Beauchamp has confirmed that embattled Finance Director Cindy Johnston has been fired from her position.

The news comes days after Lisa Baldelli-Hunt resigned from her position as mayor amid an ongoing investigation into the circumstances around a land deal with developer Ray Bourque.
