The Jackson County Board of Education approved a resolution Nov 13 to rename the East Jackson Comprehensive High School Performing Arts Center to the Tim and Lynne Wheeler Performing Arts Center.

The decision to change the name is to honor the commitment made to public education by Dr. Tim Wheeler and Mrs. Lynne Massey-Wheeler, both of whom served as educators and administrators inside the Jackson County School System.
