Recently, I stopped by my local brick and mortar to pick up a book for my friend’s daughter’s first birthday and took a stroll through the aisles to see what was new. Sixteen items later, I left with a Target haul that was unexpected but totally worth it. While on my impromptu retail therapy session, I grabbed a $40 cable knit sweater dress that easily looks four times the price, an autumnal patterned sweater I’ll wear on Thanksgiving, the coziest chenille throw blanket for just $20, and over a dozen more affordable little luxuries to wear and admire in my home. Future Collective with Reese Long Sleeve Chunky Sweater Midi Dress

Sweaters, sweater dresses, and all things soft and peak fall comfort clothes are my weakness, as is clearly evident from this list. My favorite new cozy frock is definitely the Future Collective number I grabbed in a shade of pumpkin spice orange that’s warm in both hue and in practice. I sized up for a slightly oversized look that is every bit as comfy as it looks, yet can still be pulled together with tights and boots to fit in seamlessly at the office or out to dinner. 

Universal Thread Crew Neck Cashmere-Like Pullover Sweater

While I have plenty of actual cashmere sweaters in my collection, this “cashmere-like” style is just as soft—and it’s on sale for just $17 for Target Circle members. The sweater initially drew me in with how buttery-soft it is to the touch and ended up in my shopping cart as a clear definite yes because of the fit. It’s relaxed without being boxy, complemented by a flattering banded waist for a bit of shape. 

Stars Above Soft Fleece Jogger Pants

These joggers were so cozy to the touch that I immediately put them on once I was home to lounge on the couch for the rest of the day. The fleece is super soft and cuddly, but the ankle cuffs make these feel like a step up from sweats or other pants I own that don’t ever see the light of day. These, however, are comfortable while still allowing me to look put together, so I’ve worn them for a day of shopping, while running errands, and even post workout to grab a pastry with a friend.

Hearth & Hand With Magnolia Border Stripe Rib Knit Throw Blanket

Living with a dog means not always having the nicest things, which was clear about the old, ratty, and now-his blanket that once graced my couch. This Hearth & Hand with Magnolia upgrade is heavy in an expensive-feeling and looking way that also makes it super warm and perfect for curling up with on chilly days. Plus, the cream color, red striped detail, and pompoms make the blanket pull double duty as holiday-themed decor. 

Pillowfort 3-Foot Faux Fur Round Rug

While this rug is technically marketed for kids’ rooms, the 3-foot size and ultra-plush surface made it the perfect, luxe addition to my bedroom. Now, instead of my feet touching the cold, hardwood floor first thing in the morning, they land on faux fur, which makes it a little easier to get out of bed. Another major plus of this lush rug is that, despite my dog’s preference for laying and chewing his bones on it, it wipes clean with a damp cloth and doesn’t shed easily.
