Singer Celine Dion’s Sister Says She Is Determined to ‘Recover’ from a Rare Condition

Celine Dion’s sister, Claudette, recently gave an important update on the singer’s health as she continues to fight stiff person syndrome.

In a new interview with HELLO! Canada, Claudette said that Celine’s family is there to “ease her pain,” but that Celine is working hard to get better from this disease that can’t be cured.

The singer-songwriter told her fans before that she would be diagnosed with the rare neurological disease in December 2022. Because of this, she decided to stop her world tour.

“Celine is doing everything to recover. She’s a strong woman,” Claudette told the source.

It’s important to note that there is no one medicine that can cure this syndrome, but there are a few that can slow it down.

“It’s an illness we know so little about. There are spasms – they’re impossible to control,”

“There’s little we can do to support her, to alleviate her pain,” said the 74-year-old.

Celine’s sister also said, “We’re crossing our fingers that researchers will find a remedy for this awful illness.”

Celine’s loyal fans have been there for their favorite singer since May, when she told them about her illness and canceled her show.
