Star of EastEnders’ Di Marco Family Abandons Her Role and Leads a Completely New Life

Carly Hillman, who was famous for playing youngster Nicky di Marco on EastEnders, has decided to leave the spotlight.

In 1998, she joined the show’s cast, joining the famous di Marco family, which included mother Rosa (Louise Jameson), older brothers Beppe (Michael Greco) and Gianni (Marc Bannerman), and sister Theresa (Leila Birch), as they moved to Walford.

Carly stopped acting when she turned 40 and started a job in music. She plays at weddings, birthday parties, and business events.

Her website says that she is a skilled singer who can be hired to perform live. Her favorite genres are pop, R&B, soul, and disco.

She took a break from acting in 2009 to start a family with her husband, Ben Probert. They now have two girls.

She has still been on Soapstar Superchef and Celebrity Britain’s Best Dish, among other shows.

Like a lot of soap stars, Carly did theatre after she left the show. She and Stephen Mulhern starred in Cinderella at Croydon’s Fairfield Hall.
