Matty Healy’s engagement rumors have been debunked.

An insider informed Page Six that rumors that the 1975 frontman had proposed to his model and musician girlfriend Gabbriette Bechtel after only a few months together are “completely false.”

The suspicion arose after the pair was pictured out in New York City last week, with Bechtel sporting a massive rock on her left ring finger.

At the same time, an unnamed source informed celebrity gossip website Deuxmoi, “not sure if you already posted about it or not but matty healy and Gabriette are engaged.”

Later, the Instagram account backed up its claim, stressing that the “source is reliable.”

Healy, 34, and Bechtel, 26, began dating in September, at the same time Healy’s ex-girlfriend Taylor Swift made headlines with her new romantic interest, Travis Kelce.

However, with the new couple having been together for little under three months, Reddit users suggested that it was simply “too soon.”

But they may relax knowing that the engagement rumors were just that.
