Macaulay Culkin put on an impressive showing as a contestant on Wednesday’s episode of Celebrity Jeopardy!
The Home Alone star was up against fellow actor/comedian Rachel Dratch and WWE wrestler Becky Lynch, competing in categories such as “Mother Goose Police Blotter” and “Six Degrees of Actual Bacon.” Dratch was $6,000 in the lead ahead of Culkin by the time they got to Final Jeopardy!, but luckily for him, he has a good knowledge of famous painters.
The Final Jeopardy! category was “Artists,” and the clue read: “Exhumed in 2017 to settle a paternity suit, his mustache had ‘preserved its classic 10-past-10 position’ according to the Spanish press.” (Salvador Dalí, of course.) Culkin wagered all his money, bringing his grand total to $33,600. Not bad!

But unfortunately for Culkin — albeit entertaining for viewers — Dratch did her math juuust right so that she’d wind up with $33,601, beating her opponent by the skin of his teeth. Everybody seemed to be good sports about it, though.

The Jeopardy! world is back to normal following a sticky few months amid the WGA strike. Back in May, it was revealed that host Ken Jennings had crossed the picket line in order to wrap up the show’s previous season, even after co-host Mayim Bialik refused to do the same. The Tournament of Champions was then delayed when multiple contestants made the wise decision not to be scabs.
Last year, Culkin lent his voice to Kid Cudi’s animated Netflix special Entergalactic.
