The Christmas bazaar at the Bellwood-Antis Public Library will be open through Dec. 21.

The bazaar will be open during library hours: 1 to 8 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday. All proceeds benefit the library.

Items include gently used and new Christmas decorations, kitchen items, jewelry and more. New items are added weekly.

In other upcoming events at the library, the Ten Thousand Villages pop-up shop will be open at the library Nov. 18-21 during library hours. Ten Thousand Villages sells home, kitchen, accessories and holiday items created by artisans from around the world and is committed to fair trade wages and sustainable materials.

A portion of sales will be donated to the library.

At 11 a.m. Nov. 18, Ten Thousand Villages will host a special story time featuring a reading of “One Plastic Bag: Isatou Cessay and the Recycling Women of Gambia” by Miranda Paul. An accompanying craft project will use upcycled plastic bags. The storytime is for all ages, but younger children will need help from an adult for the craft.

The Friends of the Bellwood-Antis Public Library will meet at 2 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 30. New members are always welcome to the group that helps raise funds and plan library programs.

At 6 p.m. Nov. 30, local author Typhani Russo will present her new book “Trainyard Tux,” the first in the “Adventures of Typh and Tux,” a series of children’s books based on the true story of a beloved rescue cat named Gyzzmogh. Trainyard Tux tells how Gyzzmogh’s happily forever after began. Russo will read her book and sell signed copies.
