On Your Side: Judge orders Springfield travel agency to pay back debt

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (KY3) – A judge ordered a well-known travel business deep in debt to pay up.

You might remember a few months ago when we told you a bank sued Sunnyland Travel Center. According to Greene County court records, Sunnyland Travel Center is ordered to pay Guaranty Bank more than $300,000.

Court filings show the business owners took out a loan in December of 2019, right before the pandemic, and failed to make payments. Sunnyland and its owners now have a default judgment and must pay back that loan, court costs, and attorney fees.

As we have reported, Sunnyland partners with USA Tours in Rolla. That business is open.
