As the holiday shopping season ramps up, two busy Bergen County malls are growing their retail lineups.

At Westfield Garden State Plaza, four fashion and lifestyle retailers will join the tenant mix over the next few weeks, including the first New Jersey location for Southern California-based luxury jewelry brand gorjana.

According to the Paramus shopping center, the new arrivals include:

  • GOAT USA: A lifestyle and apparel company founded by three friends from Long Island, N.Y., that features stylish, high-quality products, such as hoodies, crewnecks and accessories, that promote a positive message. Located on Level 2 near Seasons 52, the store is now open.
  • birddogs: A men’s apparel brand, birddogs pants and shirts feature a built-in lining that makes them ideal for any occasion. Opening end of November near Nordstrom.
  • gorjana: A Southern California-based jewelry brand founded in 2004, gorjana is known for its effortless and laid-back styles. Opening Dec. 2 on Level 2 near Macy’s, the 800-square-foot store will feature the brand’s most popular designs, ranging from plated to fine necklaces, earrings, bracelets and more.
  • Wilson Sporting Goods Co.: Known for quality workmanship when it comes to sports equipment, the newest Wilson location at Westfield Garden State Plaza offers the brand’s most popular products as well as new styles from their technical sportswear collection. The space, set to open in December between Neiman Marcus and AMC Theaters, will also feature an area where customers can test equipment as well as shoot some hoops in the basketball arena.

“We are constantly adding new retail offerings to ensure our shopping center has something for everyone,” said Wesley Rebisz, senior general manager of Westfield Garden State Plaza. “As we approach the busiest shopping season of the year, we are excited to give our guests new options for novel gift ideas alongside our thriving favorites.”

The other shoe drops

Over at Bergen Town Center in Paramus, the Urban Edge Properties-owned mall is welcoming two new footwear destination stores: Aldo and Dream Pairs.

Aldo, a global brand with more than 1,500 points of sale in over 100 countries worldwide, opened its 1,793-square-foot storefront Nov. 15, according to Urban Edge.

Dream Pairs – which offers men’s, women’s and children’s shoes under the Dream Pairs, Nortiv 8 and Bruno Marc brands – will launch a 3,619-square-foot location in early 2024. It will be the second brick-and-mortar location for the online footwear brand.

“With Dream Pairs choosing this property for one of its first physical stores, we have further validation for our recent investments and continued focus on creating a must-shop-stop for the community.” said Paul Schiffer, senior vice president of leasing for Urban Edge. “Bergen Town Center has long been a compelling fashion destination, and with the addition of Aldo and Dream Pairs we now provide the best selection of footwear in the region.”

The brands will join a variety of other classic, athletic and fashion footwear retailers at the mall, including Nike Factory Store, Adidas Outlet Store, Skechers and Journeys, making Bergen Town Center “a true shoe destination,” Urban Edge said.
