Best time for Boston-area travel this Thanksgiving
Massachusetts highway officials are warning those hitting the roads, rails and skies this Thanksgiving holiday to prepare for traffic,AAA projects 55.4 million Americans will travel 50 miles of more this Thanksgiving — a 2.3% increase from last year and the third highest since AAA began tracking holiday travel in 2000. AAA also expects 4.7 million Americans to fly, which is an increase of 6.6% from last year.Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT) said they’re doing everything they can to help alleviate the congestion, especially during peak times.”The worst times we think are going to be Tuesday and Wednesday for going away. The best time to travel is probably first thing in the morning and later at night, sometime after 6 p.m..
