Lana Del Rey’s Mike Was Cut at Glastonbury Because of Her Late Arrival

At the Glastonbury music event, US pop singer Lana Del Rey’s set ended in a dramatic way! The singer was about a half-hour late for her performance, and her mic was cut when curfew came around an hour later. She still had six songs to go, so she tried to sing a cappella with her disappointed fans, but security ended up kicking her off stage.

Later, she seemed to say that her hair was to blame for the delay. She said, “My hair takes so long to do.” She also told the BBC that she was “super sorry” for the delay.

Her set was full of technical problems, and one of them meant that Lana had to start her song “White Mustang” all over again. She also had to have her hair and face done during her show.

Everything seemed to be going wrong. Earlier, Japanese-British musician Rina Sawayama seemed to call out her labelmate Matty Healy for being on a controversial podcast interview where they made racist jokes about rapper Ice Spice and made fun of Chinese and Hawaiian accents. Healy is also said to have joked on the show about watching “Ghetto Gaggers” pornography. Rina wrote “STFU” for the lead singer of The 1975.

In another case, Scottish singer-songwriter Lewis Capaldi had trouble with his voice and had to end his own set early. He got a lot of help from the crowd, who sang enthusiastically.

On Wednesday, festival-goers flocked to the fields of Somerset to camp, party, and, of course, see live shows by artists of all ages. The party will go on through Sunday. Maisie Williams, India Amarteifio, and Lily James were recently seen wearing their coolest hippie looks.

This year, Arctic Monkeys, Guns N’ Roses, and Elton John will be the main acts at the Glastonbury Festival, which is an important part of British culture.
