Industry professionals will be able to bank six CPD points with AMTRA for a free webinar on gastric ulcers and nutrition in horses from feed brand Spillers.
Gastric ulcers and horse nutrition, on November 21, has been accredited by AMTRA (Animal Medicines Training Regulatory Authority) for six CPD (Continuing Professional Development) points. CPD in equine nutrition provides equestrian industry professionals with the opportunity to keep their nutrition knowledge and skills up to date, in a formally recognised way. CPD accreditation is available for AMTRA RAMAs/SQPs (Registered Animal Medicines Advisors/Suitably Qualified Persons).
The one-hour session will be presented by Sarah Nelson who is a nutritionist for the brand. She will be sharing practical guidance and top tips for horse owners on gastric ulcers and nutrition, with a Q&A session at the end.
“The popularity of our webinars is a real reflection of the big appetite that UK’s horse owners have for nutrition knowledge, to help them become even better horse owners and carers,” Nelson said.
“We are delighted that our gastric ulcers webinar is now AMTRA accredited, bringing even greater value to those who are working towards more formal recognition of their nutrition knowledge.”
The webinar is part of a winter nutrition knowledge-sharing series hosted by the feed brand.
The latest offering is the second of a series of four free webinars organised by the expert nutrition team behind the Spillers brand, to help horse owners wise up on equine nutrition. The first was on winter feeding tips for horse owners, and later webinars are on feeding and caring for senior horses, and slimming down and feeding overweight horses.
