Union, N.J. (11/17/23) – #2 New York University led wire-to-wire as they defeated the Kean University women’s basketball team, 80-36 on Friday evening.

The Violets (3-0) shot 53% while holding Kean (2-3) to just 26% on the night.

The Cougars were led by senior Brittany Graff who had 10 points along with three steals.  Graduate student Shahd Badeer added six points and 10 rebounds.

For NYU, Natalie Bruns led all players with 14 points and eight rebounds in 21 minutes of action.  Belle Pellecchia added seven points, six assists and five rebounds while playing 20 minutes of tonight’s action.  In total, 19 players saw action for New York University.

The Cougars open up NJAC play on Tuesday when they travel to William Paterson University.
