Virginia Ruth “Ginger” (Woomer) Carpino, 67, of Gainesville, Va., formerly of Altoona, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 17, 2023. She was a daughter of the late Earl and E. Louise Woomer.
Surviving is her beloved husband of 40 years, Anthony Carpino; her loving children, Anthony Carpino and Rachel (Phillip) Zierke; brother, Fred (Martha) Woomer; sisters, Denise (the late John) Woomer and Marlene (James) Hahn; many nieces and nephews; and great-nieces and nephews.
Ginger was a graduate of Altoona Area High School, Class of 1974, and Clarion College, Class of 1978.
Visitation and Services were private in Manassas, Va.
Her friendly smile and laughter will be missed by many.
