The Hoboken community and its elected officials believe the city has an unmet appetite for music and theater.

A center for live music or performing arts is now a cornerstone of a plan to redevelop the property near Hoboken Terminal downtown that includes a former CVS drug store. It represents a change in priorities for the city, which had previously envisioned an arts center as being an optional concept for the site.
