The year was 1991, and an employee at White Castle decided to add something extra to her family’s stuffing recipe: a sack of the burger chain’s Sliders.
The creation, White Castle says, “set a new standard on how Thanksgiving Day stuffing should be prepared.”
Today, there are recipes using White Castle’s Impossible Sliders, Bacon Jalapeño Cheese Sliders, and Southwestern Jalapeño Cheese Sliders. A recipe for Kickin’ Southwest Stuffin Muffins, using the spicy sliders, was introduced last year.
“All of the Slider Stuffing recipes are simple to prepare but pack a heap of flavor, making it the preferred choice of both kitchen veterans and novices trying to make the ideal Thanksgiving side dish,” said Jamie Richardson, White Castle’s vice president, in a news release.
