NASHUA, NH – Southern New Hampshire Health announces that it is the first in the southern New Hampshire region to offer enhanced colonoscopies with the GI Genius™ intelligent endoscopy module. The technology uses artificial intelligence to help physicians detect potentially precancerous polyps. Patients can now schedule a colonoscopy with GI Genius™ at Foundation Gastroenterology.

According to the American Cancer Society, colorectal cancer is the second most common cause of cancer deaths for men and women combined, and colorectal cancer is expected to be the cause of approximately 52,550 deaths during 2023. Early detection is essential to preventing colorectal cancer, but small polyps can be difficult to detect with the naked eye. The GI Genius™ module helps by using advanced visualization and AI software to highlight polyps.
