A multitude of awards capped off a deep postseason run by the Marietta High School boys soccer program.
By being recognized as the Twin State League of the Year, Marietta coach Todd Morris received his 11th conference coach of the year award.
Morris also was voted Southeast District Coach of the Year for the fourth time after leading the Tigers to a 16-2-2 finish, a TSL, MOVSL sectional and district championship.
The season came to a close in the regional semifinals following a 2-1 loss to Fairfield Union.
As for members of the Tigers’ soccer team, senior forward Mac Threatt, along with juniors Landon Koscho and Blake Limegrover were recognized as first-team, all-district selections.
Threatt scored 34 goals with seven assists and became Marietta all-time leading goal-scorer. He was voted as both the TSL Player of the Year and the Southeast District Player of the Year.
Koscho finished with 10 goals and nine assists.
Limegrover scored 14 goals and accounted for a team-high 18 assists.
Additional Tigers receiving awards included Cameron Davis, Caden Gebczyk, Josh Fournier, Connor Rings, Colin Davis and Cash Wheeler.
Davis, a junior wingback, had 13 goals and six assists. He received second-team district honors.
As the team’s starting keeper, Gebczyk made 87 saves and had eight clean sheets. he was named the MOVSL Defensive Player of the Year.
At defender, Fournier and Rings earned all-TSL and honorable mention district honors.
Davis, a junior defender, was named honorable mention MOVSL, while Wheeler, a sdenior wingback, contributed one goal and seven assists, which earned him second-team, all-district honors.
