The United Fund and Kimbro Farms are kicking off the holiday season with the first United Fund Holiday Market, Nov. 24-26 at Kimbro Farms, 1096 Baier Rd. off I-40 exit 311.
More than 20 vendors are participating in this event with handmade crafts, unique gifts, holiday decorations and more.
There will be entertainment throughout the weekend and special activities for the whole family.
Santa’s Workshop will provide a unique gifting experience for children. Send them on a shopping spree for $5 per gift — 100% of all sales support the United Fund. The United Fund partners with nonprofit organizations in the community to provide grants to meet important local needs, including helping to feed the hungry, assist with emergencies and disasters, support low-income families, the elderly, individuals with brain disorders and disabilities, victims of domestic violence and sexual assault, and children and youth. Established in 1966, the United Fund supports 35 partner agencies.
Kids can also create festive holiday items with supplied provided at the Kids’ Crafts booth.
Pictures with Santa are included in admission to the market. Digital photos will be available in the days ahead.
The United Fund booth, located outside Santa’s Workshop, will offer festive holiday gnomes created by United Fund volunteers and sporting school colors — 100% of the sales will support the United Fund.
Kimbro Farms will be offering Santa Sleigh wagon rides, Santa’s little train, pillow bounce pad and slides, petting zoo, General Store with wreaths, kettle corn, fried Oreos, Frito Banditos and a coffee shop.
Brad Geiger kicks off the entertainment Friday at 11 a.m. Other musicians performing during the weekending include: Dewayne Wagoner, Daniel Hassler and Kristi Isaacson, Hilltoppers Bell Choir, Song Island Music, Daniel Hassler and Josh Square, Cumberland County Playhouse performers, Memory Road, Cumberland County Chamber Ensemble, Parker and Peyton Lee, Ann Loney and Regina Stephens.
General admission is $12. Seniors, veterans and first responders are $10 each. Children under age 2 admitted free.
The market will be open Friday and Saturday, 11 a.m.-7 p.m., and Sunday, 2-7 p.m.
