The Scottsbluff City Council was introduced to the city’s newest employee during Monday night’s meeting.

Last month, it was announced that former Sidney Finance Director Lane Kizzire had been selected to succeed Liz Loutzenhiser.

During this week’s meeting, City Manager Kevin Spencer presented the September financial report and introduced Kizzire.

“This is his second week, so we’re happy to have him. We’re confident he’s going to do a great job. So this might be it for me.”

Spencer also thanked Chris Burbach for all of her work helping out with finances while they make the transition.
