BOWLING GREEN, Ky.- The holiday season is traditionally filled with joy, but more than 30% of Americans are experiencing pressure during the holidays. This can be triggering.
Holidays can be tough for several reasons you may be experiencing more stress from financial worry to the burden of having or not having family around.
Leisa Landers a licensed clinical social worker, tells us about how this season can be triggering for anyone. Landers says, “You usually see an increase in triggers around the Thanksgiving holidays because there are so many families that don’t have somebody and so many individuals that don’t have somebody that can help guide them that it’s even more extreme around the holidays because people have that expectation of being together.”
