
DORSET — The Dorset Players’ holiday show, Ken Ludwig’s “The Game’s Afoot” or “Holmes for The Holidays” will be presented at the Dorset Playhouse on Dec. 1,2,8 and 9 at 7:30 p.m., and Dec. 3 and 10 at 2 p.m. Tickets are available at www.dorsetplayers.org or by calling 802-867-5777.
The play takes place in 1936 on Christmas Eve at a castle owned by actor William Gillette (admired the world over for his portrayal of Sherlock Holmes). Gillette has invited fellow cast members to his home for the Christmas weekend, but when a guest is stabbed to death, he assumes the persona of Holmes to track down the killer.
Directed by Luke Krueger, the cast includes Josh Bond, Paul Michael Brinker, Elisabeth Hazelton, Danielle Houston, Elizabeth Karet, Julie Redington, Christopher Restino and Stacie Ruiz. The presenting sponsor is Charlie’s Coffee House and show sponsors are Baierlein Landscaping, Bank of Bennington, Phil’s Barbershop and Wilburton Inn. This play is presented by Concord Theatricals on behalf of Samuel French, Inc.
The Dorset Players and the cast of “The Game’s Afoot” will be collecting canned goods and shelf stable foods, as well as cash donations, for The Community Food Cupboard. Please help those in need by donating generously with goods or cash.
