A woman has accused Jamie Foxx of sexual assault, claiming the incident occurred in New York City in 2015.
According to the lawsuit obtained by TMZ, the plaintiff came at Catch NYC & Roof around 11 p.m. in August of that year.
A few hours later, Foxx was sitting at a table with an unidentified woman and one of her companions, who she claims asked Foxx for a photo, which he obliged.
She claims the 55-year-old answered, “Sure, baby, anything for you,” and was visibly inebriated.
After taking a few shots, the lady claims that Foxx told her she smelled “so good” and had a “supermodel body.”
According to the lawsuit, the actor allegedly began sexually groping the victim after taking her by the arm to the back of the terrace.
The woman claims that other people, including security guards, witnessed the alleged assault and her attempt to flee from the Ray star, but they all looked away.
She claims that the alleged assault ended as soon as her buddy turned the corner and recognized what was going on.
The complainant claims that the “sexual assault, abuse, assault, and battery” required medical treatment and caused her emotional distress, and she is suing Foxx and the restaurant for compensatory and punitive damages.
Another star recently faced similar allegations.
Sheila Kennedy, a former Penthouse model, filed a lawsuit in New York’s Supreme Court on Wednesday, November 22, alleging Guns N’ Roses leader Axl Rose, 61, of sexually abusing her in 1989.
According to court records obtained by Us Weekly, Kennedy stated that Rose “targeted” him when he was “at the peak” of his commercial popularity.
Kennedy also stated that the assault has left her with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and “lifelong emotional, physical, psychological, and financial impacts.”
Kennedy is claiming assault, battery, deliberate infliction of emotional distress, and gender-motivated violence against Rose. She wishes to be tried in front of a jury.
