JJ’s Country Music Minute: Dolly Wins Thanksgiving, Tracy Lawrence Gives Back Big, Blake Talks Christmas Decorations and More

Thanksgiving is done, leftovers have taken over your life and if you want to put a smile on your face, find out who some of your favorite country stars DON’T want cooking for them this time of year.

Today is the day, Garth Brooks is crackin’ the seal on his Friends In Low Places Honky Tonk with a special concert tonight that you can watch on Amazon Prime or Twitch

Looking ahead to 2024, Riley Green is ready to kick of his headlining “Ain’t My Last Rodeo” tour and he says he learned to up his touring game while on the bigger stages doing shows with people like Luke Combs.

Sure the Packers, Cowboys and 49ers won on Thanksgiving, but Dolly Parton won everything when she did the halftime show at the Dallas game dressed in the iconic Dallas Cowboys Cheerleader outfit.

Tracy Lawrence and his 18th Annual Mission Possible: Turkey Fry and Concert has come and gone and he raised over $250K for Nashville Rescue Mission. During the event he helped fry 1200 turkeys and provided over 10,000 meals for Nashville’s homeless.

In typical Blake Shelton fashion he defended putting his Christmas decorations up before Thanksgiving, saying “Not only does it look festive and awesome and beautiful, also, if you’re gonna go through the trouble of putting all that crap up, get some time out of it.” Blake has spoken.

And Jelly Roll messed up.  He had one job, to get the dressing from his favorite spot, Barrs Music City Soul Food restaurant.  So, he took to the internet and made an urgent plea for someone to bail him out of trouble and everyone came to the rescue.
